Italian Bake

Lasagna is always a great classic Italian choice for dinner, but what if you felt like mixing things up just a little?  The sky’s the limit when it comes to the items you want to put inside this hearty Italian Bake.   Leave out the meat to make a fantastic vegetarian version if you wish!

Ingredients:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup greek yogurt
4 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp salt
1/4 c cranberry chipotle cheddar
1 c monterey jack cheese

Mix together:
1/2 c parmasean cheese
1/2 c artichoke hearts
1/2 c sundried tomatoes

1 c broccoli
1/4 c tomatoes
1/2 c onions
5 slices bacon, cooked
1/2 cup pepperoni slices
1 cup ground beef
1 package oven ready lasagne noodles
1/2 cup macaroni noodles (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

In large mixing bowl, combine cream, ricotta, greek yogurt, cream cheese, and 1 tbsp salt. Set aside.
In greased 9″x13″ dish, place ground beef as bottom layer. {As you layer your ingredients, keep in mind you will want to place a noodle in between cheese mixture and meats or cheese and vegetables.} Then place noodle, creamy cheese mixture, vegetable, noodle, meat or vegetable with mozzarella or monterey, noodle, creamy cheese mixture, meat, noodle, and repeat til all ingredients have been placed. End with layer of noodles and then with at least 1 c of mozzarella or monterey jack or a mixture of both. Bake at 400F for 35 minutes. Check at last 5 minutes, continue baking until cheese is golden brown on top. Enjoy by garnishing with parsley, sour cream or marinara sauce!
